mk48 Heavyweight torpedo
OTS personnel have been involved in the development and production of the MK48 torpedo propulsion system since its inception. Over decades and multiple technology upgrades—from the Mod 4 through Mod 8—OTS has contributed product expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and implementation support to OEM’s and the US Navy. Today, the company maintains exclusive access to legacy technical data, original tooling, and certified processes, enabling it to provide over 85% of the Fuel Tank and Afterbody components for the MK48. This unmatched combination of historical knowledge, technical insight, and production capability ensures ongoing support for one of the Navy’s most vital undersea weapons.
mk54 LIGHTweight torpedo
Successor to the MK46 lightweight torpedo, the MK54 torpedo serves as the U.S. Navy’s current lightweight and cost-effective solution, merging the MK46’s propulsion, MK50 digital electronics, and MK48 ADCAP speed control. OTS supports this system with unmatched expertise in manufacturing, spares, and engineering.

mk46 LIGHTWEIGHT torpedo
A cornerstone of OTS, the MK46 has been the U.S. Navy’s and NATO’s standard lightweight torpedo since its founding in 1987. Backed by the legacy of OEM’s, TRW and Honeywell, OTS now manages the original TRW technical data package (TDP) and inventory—ensuring components meet or exceed NAVSEA specs. We fully support all MK46 fuel tank and afterbody MODs for the U.S. Navy and OEM’s, offering:

A trusted launch system for over 50 years, the MK32 SVTT supports lightweight torpedoes including the MK44, MK46, MK54, and select international variants. With nearly 20 versions in use by over 30 navies worldwide, it remains a critical platform for anti-submarine warfare. Recognizing its importance early on, OTS expanded its MK32 capabilities nearly 25 years ago—acquiring extensive tooling, inventory, and technical data. Today, OTS is a key supplier to the U.S. Navy, OEM’s, and allied forces, known for delivering reliable support and deep system expertise.
