OTS IS MAINTAINING A LINK TO THE TORPEDO KNOWLEDGE BASE IN NORTHEAST OHIO
Northeast Ohio has a
30-year history of involvement in the design, development,
production and support of both light and heavyweight torpedoes
for the U.S. Navy and approved foreign Governments.
Although the two major systems contractors, Marine Mechanical
(formerly TRW and ARGO Tech) and Northrop Grumman (formerly
Clevite, Gould, and Westinghouse) have ceased torpedo production
in the area, much of the vendor structure is still intact. OTS
has maintained contact with many of these Original Equipment
Manufactures.
Unfortunately, some of these manufactures have ceased
operations; however OTS has obtained relevant procurement and
process documentation.
OTS also maintains contact with torpedo knowledgeable personnel
and calls upon their skills to solve related support issues.
