Ordnance Handling Equipment

Spare parts for shipboard handling systems and land based ordnance handling equipment (OHE) have been difficult to locate in the past.  The responsibility of torpedo handling equipment has changed organizations several times over the years resulting in multiple sources of supply with limited depth of coverage.  While the need for OHE spares support and repair remains constant, the number of firms with complete understanding of OHE has diminished.  Through the consistency of 25 plus years of experience, OTS has accumulated sources and databases to maintain a full understanding of OHE needs.

OTS has worked with the Sea Master System, which was manufactured for DOD surface combatants in the 1960s, 70s and 80s.  This system is the primary handling equipment for the DD993, FFG-7, DD963, and was installed on many foreign allied vessels which still require support.

OTS is able to support all aspects of land based OHE relating to the torpedo.  Of particular expertise are the tooling related to assembly, test, and storage.  In limited availability are the portable test sets used for final verification torpedo subassemblies.

Specific areas of support include, but are not limited to:

  • Off-line and On-line Dolly Spares and Assemblies
  • Assembly Fixtures
  • Chocks
  • Clamp Rings
  • Casters
  • Frame Repair Sections
